The first “DR Golf Travel Exchange”, to be celebrated in Casa de Campo
In order to promote the Dominican Republic as the number one destination for Golf in the Caribbean area and to show the quality of the Golf courses in the country will be held the first Dominican Republic Golf Travel Exchange, to be held from 1st- 6th September this year in La Romana and Punta Cana
The announcement was made by Mr. Teddy De Lara, Executive Director of TARGET Consultants Marketing, organizers of the event, who explained the details of the day, which will include a seminar and workshop that will take place in Casa de Campo, La Romana.
Mr. Teddy De Lara explained that the seminar and workshop will allow the encounter between Golf Tour Operators, Travel agents specializing in different media press, all from different source markets for tourists, who come into contact with Hotel Managers, with the Directors of the Golf courses and receptive operators in order to promote an exchange of business between the operators parties.
For the seminar they will be expecting the participation of the authorities of the Ministry of Tourism, the National Commission of Golf and the Dominican Golf Federation, as well as the participation of Mr. Peter Walton, president of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the organization that brings together major international golf operators which is based in London, England.
Golf is an important market segment which annually attracts the interest of a niche that is increasingly growing and affluent .
