Casa de Campo awarded Best Golf Resort
Travel Weekly Magellan granted the title of “Best Golf Resort” in 2013 to Casa de Campo, the award was made to be one of the best tourist attractions in the Caribbean, especially as a golf destination . Dominican Republic recently hosted the first ‘ Expo Golf RD 2013 ‘ positioning stage for a major sports tourism.
This show was the first of its kind and brought together golf fans around the world looking for a better positioning of each brand, including the brand Dominican and among lovers of the sport, providing an important space for entrepreneurs investing in the Dominican Republic and strengthening trade relations in the sports tourism sector.
According to Travel Weekly, “Magellan Award is the highest award given if you are in the travel business.” Travel Weekly is one of the most influential entertainment news publications and this time received 2,013 votes in the United States and the world to recognize Casa de Campo with this award.
The nominees were evaluated and judged this year by a panel of recognized media professionals U.S. travel, including Peter Greenberg , Johnny Jet and Rudy Maxa.
Casa de Campo has three different courses designed by architect Pete Dye. The first field ranked number one in the Caribbean region, “Teeth of the Dog” opened over 40 years ago and have been credited for bringing the golf resort to the Dominican Republic. Other golf courses at Casa de Campo include the Dye Fore and Links golf course.
